My name is Tenasha Kalenuik and I have been a pryographic artist for six years now. My art is based around bringing the art of wood burning back into the picture. Pyrography is one of the oldest art forms in cultural art dating back to early native people who discovered the creative power of fire. Today the exotic beauty of wood and the allure of this handsome art of burning continue to capture the fascination of many. The warm flesh tones and the deep earthy hues of burning work wonderfully with portraiture, wildlife art as well as provide beautiful tonal underlays and exquisite impressionistic parallels to nature and the "textures" of sky, water, and the stratification's of landscape and terrain. For me, these qualities of wood add mystery, awe as well as meaning to my art. As I look at the world, I marvel at the beauty and artistry so pervasive in its fabric, and am drawn to wonder at their origin, and to express that wonder in my art. Please Note: All pricing is subject to PST and GST. Shipping and Handling Fees may also apply to wood burnings, logos and business cards past a 50km radius to Art Naturaly by Design gallery/studio. Custom Orders must be secured with a 50% down deposit (non-refundable) before orders will be started. Deposits can not be refunded once work has started on custom orders. All orders must be cancled via email or in writting either mailed or faxed to myself. Verbal cancelations must be backed up in writting. If cancled before custom orders have started some of the deposit may be refunded (24hrs after order being placed is recommended).
